Fredericton Music Festival

The Fredericton Music Festival provides the music students in the Fredericton area with the opportunity to perform in public and be adjudicated by highly qualified professional musicians in their discipline. The Festival Committee is made up of volunteers who strive to make the festival a great experience for young musicians.

The Festival Committee meets on the fourth Monday of the month. Volunteers are welcome to attend. For more details, please contact Ralph Simpson, president, at 459-8485.

The 2008 FREDERICTON MUSIC FESTIVAL will be held from April 12 to 25. The deadline for entries was January 19, 2008.

This is a reminder that changes to titles for own choice selections may be made up to February 19th by contacting Gerald Goguen or sending the details in an e-mail to fmfestival "at" frederictonmusicfestival "dot" org. Changes made after this date would make the entry non competitive.

BECOME A FRIEND AND/OR A DONOR TO THE FREDERICTON MUSIC FESTIVAL

By donating to the scholarship account or to the operating account of the festival, you are helping students and families of participants by keeping the entry fees at the lowest level possible and helping to provide prizes and scholarships to worthy competitors. Operating expenses include items such as fees, meals and accommodations for about 8 adjudicators traveling from all parts of the Maritime Provinces, Quebec and Ontario, and tuning and moving of pianos. With a donation of $50 or more, donors are provided an income tax receipt and a season pass for all entrance at competition halls, including the Junior Awards concert and the Senior Awards concert.
